Diane Tracy competing with a heavy heart

As an exercise scientist for 35 years with Intermountain Healthcare, being and staying physically active has always been important for 71-year-old Diane Tracy.

For the last 10 years at Intermountain, Tracy was in St. Louis. George. Tracy’s plan was always to move down to the area to retire and continue her lifelong passion of marathoning.

Tracy has competed in 24 St. George Marathons, and her first IRONMAN was the 2012 St. George Ironman.

She has also completed courses in Tempe, Arizona, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and The Woodlands, Texas among others.

With years of endurance-sport experience and 32 combined half IRONMAN and full IRONMAN finishes per her page on CoachCox.co.uk, Tracy says the 2022 IRONMAN World Championships is the most important race she’ll run.
