Allison brings over 15 years of athletic administration experience to the Wave’s athletic department, most recently serving the last five years as Athletic Director at Oak Ridge Military Academy (ORMA). With his oversight, ORMA captured 16 conference championships during his tenure, while increasing the overall winning percentage from .295 to .782. “I would first like to thank President Schrader and Associate Provost and Chief Student Affairs Officer Dr. Warren-Cook for this amazing opportunity,” said Allison. “They are both tremendous leaders and I am honored to be able to work side by side with such amazing people. I am also looking forward to adding to the fantastic athletic tradition here at Kingsborough and hopefully taking it to even greater heights. I am excited to begin working with the coaching staff, the student athletes and everyone here to make Kingsborough Community College a desired destination for athletics.”

“The new year brings new opportunities,” said Dr. Cook. “This year, our new Athletic Director, Bobby Allison, will look to grow and brand KCC Athletics. I couldn’t be more pleased to work with a world class leader to move the needle for our student-athletes and the College. He is already off to a great start!”

“I am excited to welcome the new Kingsborough Community College Director of Athletics, Bobby Allison, to the CUNYAC family,” said Interim Executive Carl Christian. “He brings a wealth of experience to this role, and I am sure, will help further develop The Wave athletic programs and enable their student-athletes and coaches to reach even greater heights in the years to come.”

Prior to his time at Oak Ridge, Allison served several roles at Guilford Technical Community College (2009-17), including Assistant Athletic Director, Admissions Officer, and Head Women’s Basketball Coach. In his administrative role, Allison was charged with academic advising, eligibility, and scheduling among other tasks.

He has 13 career NJCAA “Sweet Sixteen” Appearances, including three trips to the National Championship Game. Bobby has recruited 18 All-American student-athletes at the collegiate level, which has led to top three conference finishes in 31 of 32 seasons as a head coach.
